I am hiring a photographer. Why should I have a video of my wedding?
Video captures the energy, emotions, and sounds of your wedding day. The speeches, cake cutting, the first dance, along with myriad details of the day that you were not able to witness. Not having the wedding videotaped is the biggest regret by brides, grooms and family members. In fact, the Wedding and Events Video Association conducted a survey, where 60% of brides expressed that their video recorded the history of their wedding day opposed to having photographs of their wedding which was only 10%.

Why Should I pay for a professional videographer when friends or family can tape it with their camcorders?
Most brides who’ve allowed a family member or friend to tape their wedding have been disappointed. Our professional cameramen know exactly what to highlight and capture during your special event. They are trained to pay special attention to camera angles, sound quality and lighting as well as content. We also use multiple cameras to capture all the events of a wedding. Editing creates a professional presentation you’ll watch again and again. TOP

Aren't all wedding videos the same?
There's no standard certification procedure. There are a wide variety of styles. Don’t choose a video company by price alone. The best way to come to a decision is to evaluate candidates based on their work, references, and style that complements your vision for your wedding day video. Meet with the videographer and discuss what your needs are. TOP

What type of equipment do you use?
Eye-Appeal Media takes pride in having the most up-to-date digital cameras, computerized editing, and duplication systems. We can deliver the videotape in VHS, DVD and CD-ROM. We can also convert them to any standard in the world. TOP

Do you use a digital camera and what are the advantages of using them?
Yes, we do. The advantage of a digital camera over an analog camera is its superior picture quality and low-light capabilities. Digital means there’s no loss in quality during the editing process. TOP

Will the filming be obtrusive or interfere with our wedding?
At Eye-Appeal Media we can discretely capture your entire day using a documentary style of shooting. We feel the audience attention should be centered on the bride and groom and not the cameraperson. One of the nicest compliments we receive from our couples is “we hardly noticed you were there, yet you managed to get everything!” TOP

How many cameras do you use to videotape our wedding?
We prefer three cameras for any event. This gives us flexibility in selecting the best shot during editing. Shots of the ceremony, the bride’s train from the back and the emotional shots from the front as she is walking down the aisle and throughout the service. TOP

What time do you start filming the wedding?
That is determined by the video package selected. Minimally we arrive 60 to 90 minutes before to setup. We can provide video coverage that begins on the morning of your wedding or far in advance beginning with the rehearsal dinner. Additional coverage may the planning stages of your wedding, or the story behind your engagement or your engagement party. TOP

How long will the finished video be?
Our goal is to produce a video that includes all of the highlights of your day, yet not so long that it becomes a bore to watch. The edited tapes average in range between 1 - 2 hours. TOP

Can we see a sample of your work?

Yes, we feel it is very important that both the bride and groom view our work and meet with us to discuss the details of the wedding. We also provide you with a sample video to watch. TOP

When will we receive our final tape?
We promise delivery of your tape within 4-6 weeks after we have received all visuals and materials we need for the editing. Visuals can include your invitation, growing-up pictures, your choice of music, etc. TOP

What video style would you film our wedding?
We will match our work to your taste and style. Whether you prefer your video to have a classic, story-telling approach or a fast-paced, highly-stylized “MTV” look we are able to tailor our work to suit your individual needs and requests. TOP

Do you use wireless microphones?
Yes, we have wireless microphones. TOP

Do you provide additional lighting if necessary?
Yes we do. Additionally, we use cameras that work well in low light. With your approval we will also set up lights if the venue is too dark. TOP

What are your payment and contingency policies?
We take a 50% deposit up front to secure the date and send a contract for you to look over and sign. You can pay by cash or check. The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to the day of the actual wedding.TOP
